Brief History

Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club played their early professional football in the Southern League . They were elected to the Football League in 1920. Between 1979 and 1983 they were in the old First Division. In 1983 they reached the final of the FA Cup , which they drew 2-2, but lost 4-0 in a replay to Manchester United .Promoted to Championship 2011.
